Meandering Thoughts

These are some thoughts that I have had during recent meditations that I believe have merit.

Religion often espouses that man is made in God’s image and my contention is that everything is made in God’s image.  Now if I am correct then what is God’s image.  Well, God for me is universal consciousness and everything else is made up of that consciousness too – a consciousness that contains energy.  As energy cannot really be created or destroyed, that energy has always been in some form.  God may have created form out of available matter or antimatter and then instilled it with energy in the form of consciousness.  That consciousness in total is God’s image and he knows all the other forms of himself.  We are a part of him, as is everything else in his universe.  We are lucky in that we can develop a connection to him through this consciousness.  Our bodies and even our species may cease to exist, but our consciousness and our connection to the universal will never cease to exist.  When we die, all of us will realize this connection, but the only way to really develop it is to choose to do so freely when we are individuals with free will.  Yes, I guess this means that I believe in some form of reincarnation.  To know universal consciousness you either have to be part of it through non-existence as an entity or through choosing to connect to it as an entity.

Upon death as a specific thing, we learn what part we could play in God’s plan.  As a new form with our consciousness again in need of leadership we have the free will to again choose to let the ego be in charge or to attempt to become fully conscious individuals that listen to an inner voice and choose to develop it.  The strength of these commitments in turn raise the strength of our connection to all the other energies in the universe.  God comes to us over these wave lengths that resonate through him.  Every object and being in the universe has energy which resonates at a variety of frequencies.  The total sum of all these frequencies is God.  Learn to listen to that inner voice and discover the route that connects you to God and God to you.  In doing so you will also connect with other beings and things in your own realm as you will become more adept at tuning yourself to their frequencies and learning what they bring to overall universal consciousness.

God is not dead.  He is in you and you are in him.  They say that we have only developed 10 % of the power of our minds.  Just what is the other 90 % meant to contain.  Let’s attempt to find out.
